‘In The Room’ Open Mic Night - FRIDAY 27th FEBRUARY 2026

As a local singer-songwriter, I will be hosting open mic music nights on the last Friday of every month.

All musicians and music lovers - any genre, any format - are welcome to come along for an evening of music in the amazing space being provided by the Royalty Cinema. The 50 seat, function room is an inspiring, intimate and welcoming environment. The Royalty owners are providing professional PA equipment for performers to take first steps, share new material or bang out some old favourites.

I played music professionally in the 80’s and 90’s. Based in Bristol I toured extensively through Europe, the Middle East and North America. I made Cumbria my home 24 years ago, and after a Cancer diagnosis in 2024, regathered my creative energy.

My diagnosis added fuel to my personal re-connection with music. I have since recorded a mini album (In The Room) which will be showcased and released in March 2026. I am passionate about encouraging creativity and I am dedicated to building an inclusive, supportive and ambitious music community at the Royalty Cinema, a locally owned, locally run, iconic venue in the heart of the English Lake District.
